three things thursdays- random thoughts
Hey guys, it's me again.
Today, I'm rather bored on this so we're gonna start a new segment of the blog.
It's what I like to call "Questions no one has ever asked and probably don't care to know the answer to but I am going to answer anyway."
(If you want a shorter name- we can just call it Three Things Thursdays.)
This series is so Ellen DeGeneres has something to base her questions off of when I inevitably get famous for being the most boring blogger ever.
Today's subject: "What are Lucy's most pressing issues that she thinks about while walking to class?"
1) Five-hour energy. I've always wondered, can you manipulate how much time a five-hour energy keeps you awake for, or is it like a one size fits all kinda deal? Say, If I wear to drink half of the bottle would I only have two and a half hours of energy or would I be jazzed for the expected five. Or, is the whole company just a conspiracy theory and is it just the belief that it will work the very reason it keeps you energized? This thought process usually occurs when I know I need to study but I'm too tired. If anyone one knows the answer, please enlighten me.
2) Youtube channel. For those of you who are avid followers of my Instagram or were with me on the NYC mission trip this summer, you know that I spent part of my summer as an independent film star. (Refer to my Instagram post from August 15 to see my moment in the sun.) Ever since then (and long before then), I have contemplated starting my own youtube channel. It would be video montages of me just living life, very similar to the NYC Video but with a twist- not in New York because I don't live there! My other idea for a youtube channel would be videos of me emotionlessly lip-syncing the entire Hamilton soundtrack. Let me know if you would like and subscribe.
3) Crosswalks. I have a really strange fascination with crosswalks. There's one I have to use to get just about anywhere on campus and every time I use it I get lost in my head about how beautiful they are. Every time I stand on the corner, there are at least twenty people around me and one each other one as well. Sometimes I recognize faces that I know or that look somewhat familiar but often I am surrounded by anonymous faces. I love it because as we each stand on our respective corners, a whisper of promise floats through the air. Some who share this moment with me are on their way back home to take a nap, while others are traveling to their first class of the day. Still more stand in anticipation of their much-needed study break, as they make their way to the lawn to sprawl across the grass or play a game of catch. It that moment, on the corner of the crosswalk, around one hundred people with all different pasts converge before they go on to lead different futures. And then, as we collectively exhale, the light changes.
Well, there's a look into my mind. As you can see, it's all over the place. If you liked this blog post, venmo me five dollars so I can work my way my way to my goal of $30,000 in order to snag a seat at this year's Met Ball which is going to be hosted by my one and only, Harry Styles.
Farewell, Adieu, Adios Amigos.
